Machining assumptions

Haas VF-2 · Aluminum 6061-T6
720 mm/minMill feed · helical entry at 35%

Assumes R6 internal corners. Helical entry, raster clearing and a wall contour at each depth; the whole window is cleared without leaving a loose slug. No separate finish allowance is modeled. Mill reach is an entered assumption; the tool library does not specify flute length.

Required tool: Ø5 mm drill. Its path is shown using the entered assumptions. Add or confirm this tool before releasing the job.

Motor-mount geometry assumptions: R6 window corners and four M6 × 1 through threads on Ø5 pilots, 12 mm from each edge. Confirm corner radius, thread depth and fit against the customer drawing.

Partial route for known sample geometry. The exterior is treated as prepared. Sawing, facing, outside profiling, edge chamfers, tool changes, loading, deburring and inspection still need their own operations. Spindle reversal delays and thread inspection are excluded. The M6 × 1 pitch, through depth and R6 window corners are assumptions. This model uses exact path lengths and scalar acceleration with a stop at each logical move; it does not check chip evacuation, workholding or holder collisions. Validate in CAM before machining.
